Crisis and Information Line
The Crisis and Information Line is a 24-hour, seven days a week crisis intervention, information, and referral service. This is provided free of charge to individuals seeking help. Callers may remain anonymous and receive help from trained telephone technicians. In addition to providing emergency assistance, information and referral to appropriate community agencies, the Crisis and Information Line staff acts as a liaison between troubled callers and their RiverValley Behavioral Health therapist or psychiatrist, after regular working hours. Crisis Line is operated on the principle that crisis intervention will prevent the development of more serious problems.

The Regional Prevention Center (RPC) provides alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention services which include consultation and technical assistance, training and educations programs, public information, community mobilization, and coalition development.
Regional Prevention Center Library/Resource Center
The library/resource center is located in the Cigar Factory Complex at 12th and Walnut Streets. Services include: books and research/information documents available for loan; CD’s and DVD’s available for educators or other professionals available for loan; materials and information for local support groups; and brochures and information from national databases with current information on substance abuse topics in the region, state and nation. Research on requested topics is also available free of charge
